Spreader Tool
This spreader tool was instrumental in getting my new chair slings installed on my old chairs. I could not have done it without this tool.

Spreader tool
Recovering our slings proved to be quite a project. We have a large patio set. The replacement fabric we got from Slingmasters was high quality and we are very pleased with the result. Installing requires both a large clamp and a special spreader tool. My large clamp worked for the parts of chairs that needed to be compressed, but I needed the custom spreader tool for other parts. I'm glad that I bought that custom tool from Slingmasters.

Still haven’t received
USPS has had our package since May 9 in Phx and we still have not received it near Tucson on May 24. I have emailed asking for help or replacement

Spreader tool
As someone else mentioned, this tool does not stay in place unless you have two clamps handy. I had a set of very tight slings and it felt like the tool was straining to do the job. It did work, however I doubt this thing would hold up for much more than 12 replacements!

Invaluable tool to have if you are replacing chair slings.

The slingmaster tool saved the day. Before it was a no success in putting the center bar on
A great tool to have when reparing sling on chairs.

Spreader Tool
This tool has one major flaw. The angle iron pieces on each end are too long at 3/4". They will punch through your new sling when trying to spread the bars. I had to cut one side of each angle down to 3/8" so that it went only 1/2 way across the chair bars, ending before the sling track. After that the tool worked just fine. I ruined one of my new slings finding this out.

Spreader tool
Great tool! Just kinda pricey for a one time job.

These things work great. Just make sure you add some protective fabric or leather between the frame and the tool, as it can slip out and scratch your furniture with the sharp edges.

Absolute Requirement m
After getting my slings, I realized very quickly that the job could not be done without a spreader tool. I tried my car jack and even tried making my own with no success. This tool is an absolute requirement and, once I received it, I was able to quickly finish the job
